Requires modification to be more like old design.
I understand why they changed the design to beef up the 360 connector by surrounding the outside of it with plastic. However, extending it even further to create a "hood" doesn't add any more strength, and it gets in the way. I will have to circumcise each of my new cables by trimming that hood off in order for the cables to work with my phone in its case. Bet that voids any warranty, doesn't it?
