Our bed swing arrived within the expected delivery window and in good condition. Putting the swing together was very simple and straight forward. There were a couple minor gremlins which I will get to later. We are very happy with the overall quality of the product and it is just what the doctor ordered for morning coffee before work. What was good: The materials used were excellent and fit together perfectly. The bed cushion was sized exactly to the platform and is well made. Delivery was simple and it was boxed/crated securely. Problems with assembly: One of the threaded inserts was defective (cracked shank) and caused a minor problem for me, but it could really jam up someone with little to no woodworking experience. Getting the bed to hang squarely required some trial and error adjustments. Recommended modifications: I recommend threading a nut onto the shank of the eye bolts and running it to the end of the threads before installing the eye bolts in the frame. I also recommend adding a jam nut to the end to prevent the bolt from turning and the fastening nut from loosening. Could do better: the hanging chain is plated with some form of yellow chromate. I would have chosen regular zinc if it was an option. Word of caution: the sizing on the bed can be confusing. A 5' bed swing is 5' measured from the side of the arm rest to the other side of the arm rest. The actual "bed" of the swing is about 54". Knowing this, I would have up-sized to the 72" bed.
