A fantastic system to get an acoustic sound frmo your Floyd Rose equipped guitar
I was looking to buy a semi hollow guitar with a oiezo system, to avoid carrying an electro acoustic one for the gigs, to simplify the equipment needed for the gigs we do, and by chance I heard about this Ghost system from Graphtech. I watched some videos, and it looks promising, so I reached to their support team, and they were very helpful, so I decided to try it, so I went for the saddles only, since the ESP LTD M87 reissue comes with a Floyd 1000 series, a very good option.
After the tricky part of the routing, I used the 3rd set of holes closer to the edge of the Floyd plate (steel) , everything else was very straightforward, the Acoustiphonic preamp has everything and the installation was done in less than 1 hour. I also installed a switch, but no volume, so every time I need to turn into the acoustic sound, I just flip it and I got a warm and very useful sound, close to the one I got from my electro using a Fishman system.
This system is just a fantastic option, and if you don't tell, nobody will notice you have a piezo installed, well, that's why it's called Ghost ;-)
