Great product but size of lifting hole is a concern

The block is sturdy and very easy to use. Perfect height for any size rider or horse. The only concern I have is the 5 inch hole for lifting it. I often let horses loose in my arena and there is a concern they could get a foot caught in the hole while playing. I remove the block when it is not being used.

Love this mounting block

Purchased this for the barn where I board my horse because I wanted a more stable mounting block. This mounting block makes mounting my horse very easy. I don't feel like I will fall off the mounting block when I go to get on (he is 15.3 hands). Although I wish it was a bit taller (I am short at 5'3"), I find I can still get on my horse. The kids at the barn like that this mounting block doesn't wiggle when they go to mount a horse. For young riders that comfort increases their confidence. Such positive experience from myself and others prompted me to purchase a second one for the outdoor arena.

I love the design and height!

I love the design and height. My horse used to bump his legs occasionally on the square style mounting blocks. This design eliminates the horse bumping it. I like that it seems taller than most mounting blocks too since I'm 5'4" and my horse is 16h. The only thing I would change is making the hole smaller so a hoof can't get stuck in it. We keep it in an area where horses are turned out and since many horses are by nature accident prone it would make it a full 5/5 star product. I waited several years to replace my old mounting block with this one and I am so glad that I finally did!
