I purchased this rod and reel as a gift. It has not been fished yet so no feedback there yet but it does appear to be well made. I am very tempted to order another set for myself. Can’t wait to hear how it performs.

Great reel, very little backlash

I’m an absolute beginner with a baitcaster, this is the first I’ve ever used. After the first couple backlashes, which was to be expected, I haven’t had one since. It’s a super smooth and forgiving reel. I’d recommend it for anybody wanting to get into using a baitcaster.
