Flexible Water Heater Anode Rod (44-inch) Magnesium

It's sacrificial magnesium, stretched out over four flexible feet. It was delivered overnight for free. What's not to like? I found out that the consumer line of AO Smith water heaters are all the same build, with the $100 price increment per 3-year warranty increment (6,9,12) coming down to a different type of anode rod installed. So I bought the 6 year and for $30 here I pretty much got the 12 year. And since I now have a tape-wrapped well lubricated fitting, I can refesh it in my low ceiling boiler room into perpetuity.
