Did not fit my Janome

I was excited to order and received and so disappointed when it didn't fit my machine. Madam Sew recommended purchasing another foot to attached this to. I did not want to spend the money, nor did I want to spend the money to return it. Not sure how to determine if it fits your presser foot extension but woudl be good to know in advance if it does not fit your model before purchasing.
