I put my long hair up in hats as protection from sun & fragrance in stores. The hats had a 'new' smell so I sprayed on Apple Cider Vinegar & left it for a day before washing. The sun does go through the body of the hats a bit. I may wear a bandana underneath. They are roomy & easy to throw on my head before going out. I may sew on cords to keep them on in the wind.
