Melica torreyana, Torrey's Melic Grass

The grass hasn't yet germinated, but I only planted it recently. This grass is known to take 2-4 weeks to germinate, depending on the seeds' age, and the ambient temperatures the soil media the seed is in are exposed to. I have purchased native bunch grasses from Larners before. They always have germinated. I look forward to planting the germinated grass seedlings of Torrey's Melic Grass, as an accent grass to repeat across a meadow-chapparal-oak woodland/valley grassland interface. From the photos of their mature form, they are deliciously verdant and very graceful and pretty. Thank you LarnerSeeds staff for providing these rare native species losing their habitat so swiftly! I'm grateful I can help restore a patch of land where they once grew.
