saves my gt4 front end
. Just had the front end lift kit installed by a local vendor. Itās actually the first one they did took them slightly longer than Jacob suggested. He raises the front end in about 10 seconds. I asked a few questions prior to ordering and Jacob was helpful
Seems like a good solution for the GT4

Works well but can be improved - Expert skills and modifications needed
The kit works for intended purpose. It raises the front end of my 718 Spyder by 1.5-inch when activated, without replacing stocking springs, while still maintaining original ride height when deactivated. Even so, I must still approach the driveway at an angle because my street-to-driveway transition has a high attack angle.
While the kit is marketed for a Cayman GT4, it also fits my 718 Spyder with the exception of air compressor mounting. The factory tire pump had to be completely removed and stored elsewhere. The kit will also require expert electromechanical skills because both electrical and mechanical modifications are needed for a 718 Spyder. I hired a very good Porsche mechanic - not just any mechanic - to install the kit. Overall, I paid about $4k for both the kit and installation, which included front wheel alignment but not OEM springs.
Highs:
1. Quality air cups and compressor from reputable manufacturers
2. Remote works well & can be programmed to work with OEM HomeLink buttons
Lows:
1. Air compressor is fast but noisy, compared to factory hydraulic FAL option
2. Electrical drawing/design needs improvement
3. High current fuse is supplied for air compressor power but relay for low-current connections between battery & wireless controller is not. Relay is needed to prevent current surge and safely power the remote controller
4. Kit only included 10-gauge wiring for main power but not 14 or16-gauge wiring for smaller control cables
5. Depending on installation, different electrical terminal lugs will be needed for different sized wiring
6. Supplied remote control has 2 buttons, one to raise and one to lower, instead of toggling switch like most garage door remote control. So, if HomeLink is used, two buttons will be also required
Overall, the kit is a good option for Caymans or Spyders that didn't come or available with factory FAL option.
