Quality of Crossrope Get Lean had me opt for their mat
The crossrope LE Mat appears to be a very high quality product. A mat is an absolute necessity for my situation. I thoroughly investigated a variety of products and chose the LE mat because it was designed specifically for this program. Receiving the Get Lean ropes for christmas had me looking for a mat. The engineering Crossrope puts into their products is uncommon these days. I am happy to purchase Crossrope products and support their brand as I am very pleased with the value of their products.

The perfect jumping surface
Prior to the Splash mat I was unsuccessful in my search for a jumping surface that met my criteria for firmness and also some reduction in the impact loading while jumping. The Splash jump rope mat has exceeded my expectations

Beginners Jump rope journey
I am very impressed with the quality of the ropes, the handles, the feel and size of the mat and the app. I tried a cheap rope from Amazon before ordering the cross rope equipment and it was nearly impossible to use. The size of the handles fit my hand perfectly and I particularly like the groove for the thumb. They are super easy to hold. I opted for the 1/4 and 1/2 lb ropes and I'm glad I did. As a beginner the heavier 1/2 lb rope has been easier to use although I use both during each of my workouts. I am in my 60's and felt that jumping rope would be a great exercise for cardio as opposed to the cost of a Peloton bike, etc. I started with the 14 day beginner challenge and it has been a great introduction to my jumping skills. However, even though it calls for a variety of jumping skills I have only been able to do the basic jump. Hopefully in time I will be able to master the ski jump, alternate foot jump, etc. Maybe there should be some instruction to help learn those skill jumps. I'm still in my first month and my endurance and pace of jumps has improved dramatically. I realize it's a journey and I'm getting better with each session.
