Wittner Uni "Piccolo" Violin Fine Tuner

Works well and easy to install

These are well-made fine tuners and they look great. I really loved the open sound of the Hill-style ultralight tailpiece, but I needed fine tuners for fiddling. However, they did not work with the Hill-style tailpiece because the thin wood bar running horizontally across the tailpiece restricted the full movement of the tuner lever. I tried to gently file and extend the string slots and I tore off the bar (duh). Also, using four of them weighed a bit more than a Wittner composite tailpiece with built-in fine tuners. So, I went back to the Wittner composite.
