Much improved practice time

I have a long neck and have tried almost every shoulder rest known to man with no success. I could only play for about 45 minutes. When I saw the 40 mm chin rest I thought,”Why not? I have nothing to lose.” I learned that while the shoulder rest is still very important I had been fighting this problem from the wrong side of the instrument. I can now practice for 3-4 hours per day! It is a bit heavy but is worth the extra weight! I prefer this model to the one that straddles the tailpiece. It is just more comfortable for me. It is a game changer! I wish someone along the way had suggested this long ago!

Makes playing so much easier

I have a long giraffe neck and I prefer having the back of my violin balancing on my collarbone, so I don't like tall shoulder rests which feel unstable. I've bought three of the Fiddlerman tall chinrests for my three instruments and have loved every single one of them. They have taken away a great deal of my back and neck strain from trying to reach lower chinrests with my tall giraffe neck. They take some adjusting to the new sensation, but afterward, it's like a dream.
