Clare at Fiddlershop was incredibly helpful is choosing this bow. Much thanks. This is a fabulous carbon fiber bow. I am not comparing to any pernambuco bow as the sound vs CF is different. I wanted a CF bow to remove all worry of stick warp and accidents. Obviously this is a very expensive CF bow so for professional or serious violinist. I really love this bow. Its sounds quite beautiful with my Carl A. Berger violin. The weight is just right for me as many CF bows are a bit too light. My pernambuco is about 60 gm. This bow is about 53 gm. This weight works very well for me. Others might be looking for a bit lighter and Arcus S series is lighter. This bow is very well made with very beautiful fitting. More importantly it is well balanced, nice response, and most importantly sounds good with my violin. If you are interested in CF in this price range (expensive) Arcus worth trying. Obviously bow feel is so individual.
