Medistrom Pilot-24 Lite CPAP Battery Backup

Works as Advertised, But Limited for Multi-Night Backpacking

Used this with my ResMed AirMini for two nights of camping. The advertised runtime of about 10 hours (depending on settings) was accurate—I got one full night and part of a second night before the battery was depleted. I won’t dock a star for that since it performed as specified. That said, I was hoping for enough capacity to power two full 8-hour nights. At the price and weight of this battery, needing to carry a second one for a two-night backpacking trip is disappointing. Cold overnight temperatures may also have reduced battery performance. I’d also love to see a hard-shell carrying case instead of the included velvet pouch, as well as some type of insulated cover to help keep the battery warm while powering a CPAP in cold-weather camping conditions.
