Great mitt

I have a larger hand and I was able to get them into a large. If I wear the gloves provided with them under the mittens they are to warm. Three times I have been out on the slopes with them its been colder than minus 10 with a wind chill no more than minus 30. The thin mittens provided have started to unravel but I feel it was just a bad stitch job. Great mittens and would recommend.

I had a great pair of Dakine mitts for years and lost one of them. None of the mitts of today compare. Unfortunately even these new ones I just bought dont either. I live in Canada and love the extreme sport of kite skiing. I require a really warm mitt because I move up to 80 kph on skis for hours. The old mitt was a simple, not too thick mitt with a leather palm and a mitt (not a glove) inside. This is critical. All the big fat thinsulate mitts you buy today are disgusting when you take them off and put them on. For days after use they are damp inside. The inner mitt solves this, but unfortunately this new mitt I just bought has a glove not a mitt inside. Everybody knows a glove is not as warm as a mitt. And unfortunately the glove doesnt really fit inside the mitt. The thumb especially is too tight which will significantly reduce the time it takes to get cold, and its just not that comfortable. Dakine if you ever decide to look back in your history books and make that old mitt again, put me down for two pairs immediately.
