The instant you plug it in it starts getting hot which is amazing. It’s perfect for small mugs but I’d assume it would work well with larger things too.

It heats water fast!

I got it mostly for making hot tea in the evening after my solar ovens go to bed. Now that I’ve used it a couple times I’m very impressed and will be making other hot drinks and instant (just add hot water) foods at night and on days of very heavy cloud cover. I’m very happy with this heater and will be using it even more than anticipated.
