MERINO CREW SOCKS

I like this sock for everyday wear in the Pacific Northwest (USA). I wear them with a variety of dress and casual shoes and hiking boots. On the coldest days in winter I wear Danish Endurance Wool Hiking Socks. Both the Dress and Hiking socks are soft and comfortable without the scratchiness associated with wool. I’ve purchased wool clothing (socks & beanies) from Danish Endurance 2 years in a row so far. And I’ll purchase again when I need replacements.

good quality but not as comfortable as I had hoped

I wore them before and after washing them and tumble drying them. They seem to be well made and just the right thickness for every day use. I had two complaints. The the sock does not go up my leg as far as I am used to (Rohner). The leg part of the sock is a bit shorter. This always makes me want to pull them up. They also did not stay put on my leg very well, but fell down with time so that I really did need to pul them up. I was hoping these would be what I was looking for, because they are about half the cost of a Rohner sock and the quality seems just as good.
