Disappointing Birthday gift

I bought this for my husband for his birthday. It worked ok for a short time but as soon as the rotisserie heated up it stopped turning as the metal attachment (that the centre pole goes in ) expanded and kept catching. Seems to be a common problem that hasn't been rectified which masterbuilt must be losing sales because of this. The motor could do with being slightly more powerful too. Overall very disappointed when the Masterbuilt barbecue is so good.

Good but underpowered

Bought it with high hopes. Fitting was straightforward but it didn't sit 100% right. However first time of trying to bbq a shawarma - it made a lot of noise and also stopped. This was with about 1.5kg of chicken thighs onboard. With a bit of fiddling it got going and limped to the end - the taste was amazing once done - but it was a bit uneven and more stressful than hoped!

Hard to give more than 2 stars when it doesn’t work as it should. Once the unit heats up it stops rotating. It oscillates at best but struggles to move at all. Not good and very disappointed.
