Finally a solid mount for my oversize phone!
I drive a station wagon, not some offroad beast, but I have a rugged contractor smartphone. It's heavy and bulky and the opposite of the paper thin ultralight mainstream smartphone designs. Too much for a normal mount! I've gone through several from other brands, plagued by weak grip that let the phone tumble out at the worst possible time or suction cups that either failed to hold or left stubborn adhesive residue everywhere. The SC01-20L holds the monster phone tightly and the huge suction cup is up to the task of keeping that much mass securely in place. Heavy duty ball joints and the all metal arm don't budge under the weight no matter how rough of a road I hit. The stiffness also solved issues I had with other mounts where the phone and mount could vibrate to the point of rendering the screen unreadable in certain road conditions. I did buy the adhesive pad to attach the mount to the dashboard, but after some thinking elected to forgo the pad and put the suction cup on the windshield. That way the phone is tucked up by the A pillar, not obstructing my view but in easy reach. Glancing at the navigation takes no more time and brings my gaze no further from the road than checking the other dash gauges. After a few days of break in and adjusting the tension on the suction cup, the mount stays in place as long as I want and is easy to pop off and hide with no residue when needed. I don't have a second vehicle, but if I did, I'd buy another of these mounts in a heartbeat. Already recommended to people I know who expressed similar frustrations with flimsy mounts in the past.

Tackform is #1 phone holder.
I have 3 Tackform phone mounts and highly recommend the metal models. I use my mounts numerous times a day and the plastic models would not hold up. I purchased the aluminum mount for my 2009 Nissan Titan work truck and it has been so incredible that I purchased another one for my 2013 RAM 1500. I also have a purch mount on my 2018 Harley Roadglide, and they all secure you phone with no worries of them falling out, even on the motorcycle. I would definitely purchase again. Thanks!

Suction issues
I bought this tack form for my wife's car. I have one on my Harley. It sticks great to the window, but will not stick to the dash. Oh well.
