I don't often need a magnet with 16# pull force, these were for a specialized use in a guitar rest to replace glued-in-place ones with a simpler attachment. I use less-strong ones all over my shop instead of pegs or slots for tools, especially at the lathe. They hold my smaller gouges and even steel wool for fast access and replacement. These are more powerful than you think.... and neodymium is not super good at taking sharp impacts. Basically I'm s saying c careful when you separate them as they'll snap back and if the cushion they put between them isn't there... they'll crack. Guess how I know. I would recommend these if you're looking for a good hold
