Best tuners avaliable
Been playing bass since 1979.. Mostly studio and session with several companies. Been through pretty much every brand of machines out there. Nothing I have used can hold a candle to these tuning machines. Best quality out there,...beautiful finish ratio gearing is best thing since sliced bread. These are highly recommended to anyone requiring top quality and peace of mind

The difference is staggering.
With bass guitars, it can take a little more effort with Ratio tuners to bring strings to the proper tension than most stock tuners, but once things are strung up properly tuning become oh so simple. Especially for metal bassists who are looking for a more cutting sound and are mixing in more high mids and highs, tuning accuracy is vitally important. With Ratio tuners it is just So. Much. Easier. to bring bass strings accurately to pitch. I have replaced tuning machines on two basses and one six string with Ratio tuners so far, and will be replacing the tuning machines on several more guitars before I'm finished. I'm sold on the concept. If I have an instrument that doesn't have a double-locking system for a trem, and doesn't give me OCD about mismatched finishes, it's likely going to end up with a set of Ratio tuners.
