Not Suitable For Adults

I have been a huge fan of the standard single weave Fuji gi for many years. I have a white and a blue gi for myself, and I order white gis for all my students. My ONLY complaint about the single weave gi is that the apron tends to be too short. Otherwise, the Fuji single weave gi is perfect, and I recommend it without hesitation. But this is not about the single weave gi… Due to recent price increases, and since I am always on the lookout for savings, I decided to try the new Starter Judo gi for adults and I purchased a Bundle (5 pack). The pants and the belt are simply fine, and they are what you should expect from Fuji. However, the jacket is thin and flimsy, and I do not like it at all. For adults, this gi is not suitable for competition, and in my opinion, is not suitable for serious training. I suppose you could order a set to use in your dojo as extra gis for visitors and trial students, or you could use them for students to try on to verify their size for best fit and then order them a real gi. My advice is to stick with the standard single weave gi as the starter gi for new and beginning students.
