I used Quicken previously and was looking for a simple replacement, this fit the bill nicely!

Great Register. Easy to use.

Initially a little tricky to navigate, once you get it, it's really easy and streamlined to use. Only wish you could show transfers between accounts, but given how wonderful everything else works, I highly recommend it...

Excellent App

I bought Georges Excel Checkbook Register v7.0 about 6 weeks ago and wanted to use it a while before reviewing. I'd been using Quicken for quite a few years and was tired of the constant renewal costs. As well, I don't need a lot of features, just a solid checkbook and good reporting for yearend tax purposes, which is why I didn't look at the versions with specific budgeting ability. I have been looking for a while for a Quicken replacement, and I'm glad I found this. The app is well thought-out and executed; it works perfectly and I'm very happy with it. It's exactly what I was looking for. I'm a long-time (light) Excel user and don't really have the time or expertise to develop anything as comprehensive and useful as this. But George has done that, so it's well worth the small cost for an app that works so good. Because I started the register a few months into the year, I back-filled my earlier register items for the year by importing them. I did set up a few categories that I needed and the app makes that easy. All in all, I highly recommend it!
