Pannier Backpack Convertible 2.1 PLUS (30L)
Sorry, I was feeling quite enthusiastic about this, but it dodn;t quite go as hoped. I have ordered this on 13/6 and it was supposed to be delivered to me in UK. Instead it was sent to California. Nevermind, these things can happen. However, I didn't like at all the total lack of response to several email requests for an update on the shipment. As I didn;t receive any reply and I needed a pannier, I bought a Vaude - Aqua Transformer 26, which I have been using for two weeks now. The TWG pannier has finally arrived today. It looks decent but: 1. I find the pannier/backpack conversion system much more cumbersome than the Vaude's 2. the Vaude is totally waterproof without the need of adding any protection 3. the rack mounting system looks a bit less sturdy than the Vaude's 4. In general, it doesn;t look like a product made to last long. I don;t have any intention to try it instead of the Vaude. I will keep it as a backup or as an additional pannier.

Nice and roomy
I upgraded from an original smaller size convertible backpack. This larger one is so much more roomy, fabric is soft and supple which makes it much easier for the zips to go around the curves. My only comment is that if I were to wear this backpack for hours the bike attachment clips would start to irritate my back. Could just be my geometry with the backpack though. Overall a great product!

In like this backpack. It’s not perfect, but it is quite good.
After a bit of use, I think I really like this bag. I use it for work on a daily basis. Is it the most comfortable backpack? No, the bike mount ensures that true comfort will never be achieved, but I only walk 1/4 to 1/2 a mile, so not really enough carry distance to matter. I really like strapping it into my bike and then converting to backpack for the walk into work. it’s not a long distance, but it is long enough than anything besides a backpack can be a real hassle. As person who uses the sternum strap all the time, this is my only real complaint with this backpack, as the sternum strap continuously slides out of position while in use (I would like for the sternum strap to stay close to my sternum, but it always rides up, even on short walks). I typically carry a lunchbox, coffee mug, water bottle, umbrella, other odds and ends, and a change of clothes, and this backpack works very nicely for that. Overall, I’m very pleased with the way this backpack functions, and I hope that small tweaks can be made in the future to make it even better
