Great fabric with minor issue about fit

I have the tour shorts in 9 inch inseam in grey color previously. They are my go to shorts with great fabric, fit and color. I tried out the 7 inch version in dusty olive color. Still love the fabric and color, but the 7 inch version has much wider leg opening (almost 1.5 inches more than 9 inch inseam in same size). This makes the shorts flare out a little more than I would like.
