Great headlamp. Definitely quality product. It’s heavy and I think that’s why they have a strap on the top. I will use it on short trips but I like a little lighter headlamp. I don’t think it would work if I cut the strap. It’s easy to use but it has a weight penalty. If I had a cave or climbing helmet on then this would be perfect
