Rock solid build quality

I own quite a few LEDLenser headlamps, work lights, and flashlights accumulated over a good number of years. This company is always innovating and coming up with new spins on their product line. This new TT3R is marketed as a tactical flashlight targeting law enforcement or military professionals. I'm retired military and have owned a variety of "tactical" lights for the past twenty plus years and how these flashlights have evolved has been interesting. No matter the brand, I expect a tactical flashlight to be made from aircraft grade aluminum, prefer rechargeable batteries that can be replaced, have a tail cap on/off switch that can toggle between light intensity levels or strobe, have a strong illumination & throw distance, and offer some degree of waterproof protection in a compact package. The TT3R checks these boxes at a price point competitive with other makers. It is a bit on the heavy side but I appreciate the somewhat thick diameter of the body and the textured pattern making for a secure grip no matter the conditions. Finally, in the past LEDLenser has offered a very generous military discount which I have always appreciated. Since their recent reboot of their USA website and switch over to the Shopify platform for checkout that has disappeared. FYI for fellow veterans or active duty who have used this in the past. Even without the discount LEDLenser offers good value for the money.

Quality

This is just one of the many Ledlenser products I own. The quality and crasftmanship is second to none. I love the tail switch and the easy to use settings switch. I really like that fact that it has a lockout feature also. My main critique for the light is the thickness. It's really a handful.
