Disappointing jacket size

After taking my daughter's measurements, I cut the pattern pieces to size 10 to make a blouse. After assembling all the main fabric pieces and the ruffle, I had my daughter try on the blouse. To my great dismay, it was too tight for her, even though there should be the ease of the jacket. 1.5 m of discarded fabric and a few hours of sewing for a poor result.

I have not made this item yet. I have made several other items using this line of patterns. Love the detailed instruction & photos. Great tools & creativity. Many compliments.
