I found what I was looking for.

Why I chose the Cadets in Tobacco vs the other boots in Tobacco. The eyelets are darker on these, making more of a dress look rather than a workboot look. It took me forever to figure that out. Hopefully that helps you. The other factor. . . the toe cap helps the boot look a little wider. Without the toe cap, the boots were too pointy for the look I wanted. I also don't wear my jeans like the pictures with the rolled up bottoms. These boots are great for casual jeans or a dressy look.

Cadet, 5-eyelet great

I like the lower, 5-eyelet boot compared to the higher angle boots because they slip on more easily. The wide size is perfect, very comfortable. Light-weight is nice for milder, southern winters. Well-made. My first pair, won't be my last.
