These mouthpieces are excellent. The hand work is beautiful and especially impressive if you watch the videos on how they're produced. I ordered two different sizes (a J-6 and a J-7 in my case) and both played well and in tune. They seem to be very "reed friendly" (you can comfortably use several different brands) and the J series is very controllable at high volume levels.

I'm still learning all the surprises this mouthpiece has to offer. First impressions are: it is edgier, less forgiving of poor reed placement on its thin rails, needs be taken more in the mouth to accommodate its long facing, requires reeds with a more pliable stem. But once this is mastered it begins to "sing" and give me more creative room, unlike other mouthpieces that do the work for me at the cost of more restriction. Tone has always been my priority on the clarinet and I wouldn't want to miss the lessons learnt and yet in store from this Morgan mouthpiece.
