Monta Atlas, Opalin Silver Dial

My new favorite, amazing quality

This is my second Monta, after a Noble blue dial about two years ago. They are both great watches. The bracelet, especially the clasp has seen a few upgrades over the years, slimmer, more design elements and a little easier/smoother changes of the micro adjustment. I can’t think of a single negative to mention. I LOVE the Opalin silver and blue accents. It’s amazing! Both of my Monta’s are hands down the most comfortable watches I own to wear. I cannot overstate this. The bracelet is great. Both watches have had no problems at all and go swimming and boating all the time. Both running about 2-3 seconds fast per day. Thanks Monta!

Inspired

This is a beautiful piece. The color combos and finishing are fantastic. I agree with the criticism that the 24-hour markings are nearly impossible to find on the Opalin dial variant in all but direct light, but it's a minor gripe given the overall aesthetic of this watch. Drawing on inspiration from some classic designs, Monta has made a watch that is uniquely its own. No "homage" labels for this microbrand. If you want a high-quality, stand-out piece, look no farther. The Atlas is understated only until you start to look at it. It might not garner an "ooh la la" from your your date the way some high-end Swiss brands might, but anybody who knows what they're looking at will appreciate the craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into this. Moreover, you'll know, and at the end of the day, that's what's important. Seriously, ditch your date if she's more interested in your watch than your conversation. On top of that, you get to enjoy the reliability of a solid Swiss movement while sporting an American watch. We'll forgive them for being Cardinals fans. Nobody can be perfect, but the folks at Monta are pretty close.

Amazing watch!

This is my third Monta, and there is no stopping when it comes to busting these watches. I love everything about this brand, from the presentation to the actual watch. At first, I thought that this watch was going to be to small, then I put it on my wrist and I have been wearing it since I bought it. I hope to some day be one of the people that will own every line of watches they have to offer. This watch is nothing but amazing, and if you think otherwise then you have not spent quality time with this beauty!
