Great easy pattern to sew

Pattern very easy to follow. Did the doll's pattern first before making the Child's dress, highly recommend. Very happy with the results of both doll & Child's pattern. Very clear visual steps to follow. Thank you!

Almost there...

The pattern is adorable. I used a gingham and shortened the puff sleeve to a short sleeve. BUT. This pattern is not carefully edited and was clearly taken from the Girls' size pattern. The sleeve is sewn like you would sew a much larger pattern, rather than the usual doll method of sewing up the side seam and under-arm. Additionally, throughout the instructions, the pattern goes back and forth from having an open back to being completely enclosed. When I got to the last step (#38), I had a fully closed tiered skirt, and an open-backed bodice. I now have to either unpick the skirt, or close the bodice. Also, the pattern designates a 1/4" seam allowance "Unless otherwise stated," but the tutorial uses a 1/2" seam allowance throughout. A cute dress, but overall a messy and confusing tutorial.
