We have 25 birds free ranging by day and in their coop overnight. Once summer kicked in even with regular fresh bedding the flies and smell got overwhelming. When I started adding Lt1000 Poultry House Cleaning solution in conjunction with biochar- the flies and odor disappeared like magic. I now use this for our dog kennel area and for our goat area also.
