The Herbert Johnson Crusade Poet in deep sable rabbit is a very well made hat, very suitable for daily use and dress occasions. The hat is soft, but holds its shape very well and the felt is soft and luxurious. The colour is absolutely beautiful and rich. The fit is perfect. I also own a beaver felt Indiana Jones hat made for me by another hatter, that hat is quite stiff and robust. I use it for my hiking adventures because it’s quite waterproof. I haven’t worn the Herbert Johnson in the rain yet, but I know a beaver hat is more suitable in harsh conditions. If you’re looking for a fantastic Indiana Jones Poet, get it from the original hat maker Herbert Johnson. I’ve wanted one for years and finally got one. I’m very pleased with my purchase. Yes, it costs quite a lot, but you’ll get a superb hat which probably last you a lifetime.

What an incredible hat

Just, wow. I have been waiting for years invest in a proper fedora hat like this, one that I know will be made with care and detail. It is a big investment, and I was nervous about it, especially ensuring I get the right size. But it turned up last week (very efficient, I must say), and it was more than what I hoped for. It is the genuine article - I have had several "alternatives" over the years but none compare to this - the real deal. The best bit though, it fits perfectly. I have never donned a hat so comfortable, but snug and secure at the same time. This is all thanks to Mel and the amazing team who make these hats, talking me through the process and ensuring all the measurements details are correct to ensure they make the perfect hat for you.
