Brilliant for protecting an expensive mattress

We have purchased few years back an expensive mattresses, and a protective waterproof cover from this brand was highly recommended by the seller of mattresses . We obviously accepted and it was brilliant untill not long ago, when the watreproof vinyl layer started to detach and rip apart and the mattresses started to get stained.
