Mertensia virginica (Virginia Bluebells)

The jury is out.

paid for overnight shipping but took 5 days to arrive. Provided with incorrect tracking number so it seemed that shipment was going to York, PA when I live in Chicago suburbs. I alerted Natural Communities staff who responded within a day that I was given incorrect tracking number. They provided corrected tracking number. Shipment did arrive after 5 days and I planted next day. Since these are bare root will not really know until next spring whether the roots/rhizomes are viable. Most did have roots. I have high hopes. Will let you know spring 2027.

Just WOW!

When the Virginia Bluebell plants arrived, they were huge and already blooming! I have not planted them yet. That is today's project.
