Bottomless and pillowy control
Title says it all. My bike's geo is fairly progressive, and I'm light at 70kg. Previous shocks, even with no volume tokens, would stack up a progression wall that no monkeying with pressure or damping could hide. Just couldn't use much of the travel and it was harsh. Coil could've worked, but at greater weight and at the expense of easily adjustability for different riders, trails, or loads. The non-equalizing neg chamber (gen. 1 shock) has been fine so far-- I get the impression this was designed to be optimal for the mid range of weights and riding styles which is me, so I neither have noticeable top-out nor a "rides too low" issue. Not having the equalization dimple means the shock can easily be spaced for different eye-to-eye sizes as desired, so a mullet setup or different frame should be manageable. With the King Can I was a bit worried whether the shock would be lively enough, but for me at least it's a nice tunable balance between damp and bouncy. Great shock.

Easy to setup and service
This replaced a RS Super Deluxe on a 2021 Devinci Troy. The bike went from an all over the place pogo stick to bike that actually track. I had a Macleod that I liked very much on my previous bike and was told that the Mara Pro was even better: it is! It needs minimal tinkering to get the right settings. I tend to run lower air pressure and more compression damping but it is quite wasy to acheive with dials that actually do something. Great job on that Manitou!! I can get the shock poppy or set it to plow through almost everything with a couple of clicks. Overall a great shock, easy to setup and is quite easy to service for a "home mechanic".

Excellent
A true upgrade to the fox DPS on my Pivot mach6 v3. Good performance all around and a lot of adjustments to tinker with :D. The climb switch is efficient and keep the suspension active in technical terrain.
