Watching our caterpillars develop into beautiful Painted Lady butterflies was such an enjoyable experience! Out of the 20 caterpillars we received all but one survived to full maturity. Our entire family enjoyed watching the caterpillars quickly grow in size! They all seemed to simultaneously begin making their chrysalises on the same day, and it was an amazing change to behold! ….But not as exciting as watching them emerge as dainty butterflies! We released them into our flower garden, watching each one depart into the sunshine, fresh flowers, and new surroundings. What a wonderful way to begin the spring!
