I shave every day and use this alum block and I just bought my second one after over a year and a half. That's 550+ applications! Works great for sealing up weepers and telling your face if you went at it too aggressively or not. One trick: rip off only the top flaps of the box and keep the alum block permanently in it so that it's contained, in a bump resistant case, but dries quickly.
