Love this mic

Really great mic that provides some wonderful coloration. Surprisingly lights out on snare drum in addition to vocals piano and acoustic guitar. Recently purchased a second one.

Amethyst is the new winner

My previous go to mic for my vocal tracks was the JZ Black Hole BH2, but I wanted something a bit more mid-focused and less bright. My new Amethyst is just what I expected and my new favorite for my vocals. I have a variety of respectable tube and FET mics, but I prefer the superior clarity of both of the JZ mics for most of my tracking. Highly recommended!

Hidden Gem

Huge fan of this mic, It genuinely sounds amazing & is not as dark as most people describe. It obviously has a softer high end but does not steal from clarity in doing so. A fantastic quality mic for the price. Love the look of it, and huge shout out to the company for taking such good care of their customers. Will be buying more in the future!
