This item was a gift for a retiree. Having said that, I do not have any details on its use. I will share that it was a beautiful feeder and I was very excited to present the gift. Additionally, the owner-- who I assume is "The Birdhouse Chick" was proactive in working with me on my decision making. The original product I ordered was not up to her standards, so she called me directly and suggested some similar items. She was honest of her opinion on the first item and did not want me to be disappointed. I appreciated her help very much and her recommendation was just perfect. I would definitely order again, and I already have my eye on a couple products.
