Overall a wonderful kayak. I have used a Wilderness Tarpon 120 the last 12 years, set up for fishing. The Moken is significantly more stable and the seating positions is a wonderful change. My only downside so far is the track system not being readily usable for Scotty accessories that I have acquired over the years. The Uni-track accessory mount is not what I would consider a suitable adapter for additional Scotty rod holders as it provides excessive flex when catfishing. The removable pod made installation of the fish finder relatively easy and keeps the clutter of the cords down. The open deck is also great between the seat and the pod.

Super nice kayak! Just what I was looking for.

At 71 years old I was looking for a stable kayak. After a lot of research and looking over the reviews I decided on the Moken 12.5 V2. I just got back from my test float at a local lake and I’m very happy with the kayak. It’s very stable and it tracked very well. It has plenty of room. It is a bit heavy so you’ll need help loading on a car top. I can’t wait to get it on the river I usually fish. Customer service is great. I ordered online on Monday and it arrived on Thursday. I was surprised how fat I got it. Was delivered by an in house truck, came in perfect condition.

A perfect gift

Got this as a gift for my best man. Took it out for its maiden voyage and absolutely cleaned house. She handled like a dream. Extremely well built. Shipping company was fast ,Responsive, and communicated very well. One of the rails was damaged upon shipping but nothing I couldn't fix with some new screws and some marine adhesive. Otherwise it came in perfect condition. Might have to buy myself one in the near future.
