Great moveability
Awesome kneepad but just a tad bit tight. I tried comparing myself to others in the reviews and looked extensively at the sizing but unfortunately the pair I got (medium) are really tight for me, I'm 5,9 155 lbs but I guess I just have thicc boy knees. They take a solid two minutes to put on and hurt a bit and almost feel like they're going to snap so I know they're too small, however they work perfectly for my partner so she'll keep them. Otherwise I actually loved the material and feel. Most people say go small on pads and big on clothes for biking but this was just a bit to small for me.

Great, affordable knee pad that works!
I'm new to downhill mountain biking. Coming from a cross country background, I was a little skeptical for the need for pads. However, I learned that "hard way" that having them is incredibly important after slipping on wet "poles" (from water lines at a ski resort that's turned bike park in the summer) at the bottom of a steep, rocky hill. I banged up my ankle and my hip, but my knees were unscathed (and the knee pads were super muddy). Needless to say, I'm now a believer! However, beware of the sizing. I'm a 5'7" 130lb female and needed a large. I started with a medium, and they barely fit. So check your sizing before ordering. They stay in place, but they are a tad hot, but totally doable. Thanks for saving my knees!

Size up!
These are super comfortable and plenty rugged enough for riding on all except the most technical, rocky trails where more damage is possible if you fall. Sizing is off though, so size up by at least on size. My wife and daughter are both riding larges, to give you some idea of the issue. I’m on an XL and thought I’d be a large.
