Reid Sneakers - Suede - Men's

Love my Reid Suede WP Sneakers

This is my 4th pair of Beckett Simonon sneakers and 2nd pair of Reids. If you've not owned a pair of Becketts before, they are everything the company claims they are - exceptionally made, great looking, high end shoes. The footbed and support are excellent. My other pair of Reids were the regular leather which are a bit softer than this suede, probably due to the waterproofing, which comes in handy where I live in Portland, Oregon USA. But they'll break in great and quickly. I especially like the shade of Grey which has just a tiny touch of blue in it making them look a bit warmer and sharper. If the price is a stretch for you, first, they are worth it. But jut hold on until one of their frequent sales which are often unusually deep discounts. The wait time for the shoes is obviously unusual, but it makes for a great custom product and no doubt allows them to get prices down since they aren't storing thousands of pairs of shoes. My other pairs are Gellers. I wear the all black "Trainers" with suits or when dressing up, or with jeans. They look so sharp with the clean design and not at all like I'm wearing sneakers. Super comfortable. My only minor complaint on any of these shoes is the short laces on the Reids. Many comment on this and I don't understand why they don't adjust it. They work of course but it's mildly annoying and certainly out of character for the incredible care and details on the shoes. These shoes will last many years.
