Fits perfectly in my IMS 53mm/21gr. Using "The Jack" together with the WDT technique plus adding a paper filter at the bottom of the portafilter (puck screen coming soon), the quality of my espresso shots has improve a lot

Excellent device that exceeds expectations.

After two weeks with "The Jack" I have put my tamper away. Consistency in grind and dose are key to getting the desired degree of compaction but once The Jack is adjusted results are highly repeatable. Levelling is perfect every time and flow times consistent. Changing coffee type and other variables might require adjusting The Jack slightly. It holds it's setting very well unless grounds get between the device and the basket causing the bottom part of The Jack to stop rotating while the handle part turns. This is easily corrected since the adjustment clicks are audible and can also be felt so all that is required is to remove The Jack from the basket and back up adjustment by the same number of clicks. There is also a small, etched adjustment scale on the side of the lower part of The Jack. Overall I am very satisfied with the device - well designed, well made, and it works.
