Interesting, useful instrument

I love dealing with Fiddlershop. Helpful, great service, knowledgeable. This Mezzo Forte violin was purchased to use when playing in extreme conditions ( dry, rowdy, outdoors etc.). I did not expect it to sound as rich and full as a wood violin. That said, I like the way it sounds- especially the upper strings. Double stops are very strong, possibly due to a different overtone profile from carbon fiber. It’s a fun fiddle to play, but not as my main instrument.

Bought for my Daughter

My daughter is the musician, and I surprised her with the Evo violin. Compared to her seven other violins, this one sounds the best. It’s very powerful as an instrument. I love the black color. She says it is really light. She brings it to work every day to practice on her lunch break. She says that she wishes it was the only violin that she owned.
