Monteverde Ink Bottle - Fireopal

Lovely shade

It needs fp friendly paper, or it feathers horribly, which has been my experience of most Monte Verde inks. But the color is truly beautiful. A red that leans toward a warm orange. In the end, though, I found I preferred Vinta’s Damili, as it is not so demanding of specific paper, and I prefer the way it shades heavily, rather than Monte Verde’s consistent colouration.

I have had my own bottle before and gave a sample to a friend who loved it for a red colour. So for a holiday gift I ordered him a bottle of his own.
