A good ink, no flow issues for either fine or medium nib. Great for taking notes through the day - no smearing despite being a lefty. Color is a lovely softer black, not trending toward grey though.

Black Ash Monteverde ink

In my Pelikan M200, fine steel nib, this ink is smooth writing, a little on the dry side, which is fine with me as it keeps a crisp fine line. It's not a jarring dark black, and certainly not a gray. I expect the ink's lubrication will be beneficial for my piston fill pens.
