Black Forest Gateau

The cake was amazing, very juicy and moist. It was slighly smudged as it got delivered. I was quite disappointed with how the cake was sent. It was just left at the front door, without anyone knocking or telling me that it had arrived. I was very happy with the cake regardless, not too sweet which i loved.

Cake was damaged and inscription cut short.

I'm from the U.S. and I ordered the Black Forest Gateaux with Kirsch to be delivered to my father and his partner in the United Kingdom as an early Father's Day/Retirement gift. I ordered weeks in advance and upon delivery the cake appeared to be smashed/destroyed from shipping. Luckily, this is my father and his partner's favorite dessert, so they will not hesitate to devour it, but as a long distant gift it is frustrating to see the cake looked nothing like advertised because of the shipping issue. I'm not one to leave negative reviews, as I understand humans can make mistakes. However, not being able to see my dad as often as I wish makes gift giving difficult over seas, so this made me emotional in the worst ways when I learned the cake has been smashed during delivery. Other reviews don't seem to mention this, so I think it may have been a one-time issue. Edit: Bumping to 4 stars because Lynn was very supportive in offering me a voucher. My father was very pleased and I'm thankful for Lynn and their wonderful team making right by this.
